Discover a New You

Intense pulsed light (IPL) is a cosmetic skin treatment used to reduce the signs of aging, pigmentation, vasculature, acne, or to remove unwanted hair.

What to Expect During Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Treatment in Parkland, FL

Step 1:

Your journey begins with a consultation where we assess your skin type, concerns, and goals to ensure IPL is the right treatment for you. On the day of your session, we’ll cleanse the treatment area and apply a cooling gel to protect your skin and enhance the light's effectiveness. This step ensures your skin is ready for safe and optimal results.

Step 2:

To keep you comfortable, we can apply a topical anesthetic if needed, especially for sensitive areas. During the session, gentle pulses of light are directed to the target area, addressing concerns like pigmentation, redness, or unwanted hair. Most clients feel only a mild warmth or light snapping sensation, thanks to the integrated cooling system designed to minimize discomfort.

Step 3:

After your treatment, we’ll apply a soothing gel to calm your skin and provide aftercare instructions to enhance your results. You can expect mild redness or darkening of spots, which is temporary and a sign the treatment is working. To protect your skin and maintain your glow, be sure to use sunscreen daily and avoid direct sun exposure.

What you need to know about IPL treatment

Following pre- and post-treatment instructions for IPL Treatment is essential to ensure optimal results, minimize potential side effects, and enhance your treatment

  • How does Botox work?
Botox works by temporarily relaxing the muscles responsible for wrinkles and fine lines. It blocks nerve signals to the targeted muscles, preventing them from contracting and smoothing the overlying skin. This process softens the appearance of dynamic wrinkles like frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines, leaving you with a refreshed, youthful look.
  • How long does Botox last?
The effects of Botox typically last 3 to 4 months, though this can vary based on individual factors like metabolism and treatment area. Regular maintenance treatments are recommended to sustain results. Over time, some clients may notice longer-lasting effects as their muscles adapt to the treatment.
  • Is Botox safe?
Yes, Botox is FDA-approved and has been extensively studied for both cosmetic and medical use. When administered by a qualified and licensed professional, it is a safe and effective treatment. Potential side effects, such as mild bruising, swelling, or temporary discomfort, are usually minimal and resolve quickly. Choosing an experienced provider ensures optimal results and minimizes risks.
  • What is an FAQ section?
An FAQ section can be used to quickly answer common questions about you or your business, such as “Where do you ship to?”, “What are your opening hours?” or “How can I book a service?” It’s a great way to help people navigate your site and can even boost your site’s SEO.

What is unique about IPL?

Unlike lasers, an IPL device sends out more than one wavelength of pulsating light. It can treat a range of skin conditions at the same time. After IPL, you may look younger because your skin tone is more even. While laser therapy uses a set wavelength depending on the procedure, intense pulsed light therapy uses multiple different wavelengths of light released in pulses.

You can think of it as a strobe light passing along the skin. IPL isn’t a focused beam like a laser. It instead is dispersed beams of light that work together. As the light penetrates down to the second layer of skin, it allows the cells to absorb its energy, heat up, and eventually destroy the pigmentation within the cell. This is how age spots, other discoloring blemishes, moles, birthmarks, and rosacea are diminished.

When will I see IPL results? How long do they last?

For pigment It will take four to six weeks to see the full results from a single treatment, however you should see dark spots fade and slough off within a week. If you complete a series of treatments about one month apart, the maximum results will be visible in two to three months after the last treatment.

For redness, the results of IPL begin to appear right after treatment and continue to improve over the next few days to weeks. It does take some time for veins to fully collapse and be reabsorbed by the body, so full results cannot be seen right away. If symptoms accompanied the spider veins, they are usually relieved immediately after treatment.
